UCHealth Outpatient Infusion Therapy

I’ve received infusions for over 20 years and this is the least busy and most highly staffed infusion center that I’ve ever visited, yet they are the most inflexible. I have to go in for infusions twice a week every single week , which is not easy when you work full-time and manage family responsibilities. The nursing staff, particularly one nurse, that I had with demonstrates no empathy and flexibility for even the slightest schedule shift of 5 to 15 minutes. I’ve never seen more than two people in the infusion center at once and there are always two nurses which completely allows them to demonstrate flexibility with minimal effort. I’ve been trying to get in touch with the manager to share my feedback directly, but I have not received after two times. I highly recommend they consider focusing on building empathy instead of being incredibly rigid. Really, please try to imagine what it would be like if you were going through ongoing medical care while still managing your full-time job and family responsibilities. I understand at times I’ve run 5 to 15 minutes late but in 20 years of ongoing infusions, you’re the first infusion center who has lacked the flexibility and understanding to accommodate minor shifts. If the manager reads this, please give me a call. If I don’t hear back in the next day or two, I plan to escalate through UC Health patient relations.

They made my chemo experience as easy and comfortable as possible. The nurses are all amazing and so sweet. You get a private chemo room with a curtain, small couch, chair and tv, rather than being in a room with a bunch of other people. Strongly recommend going here for treatments.
