This place pulled off a miracle for my friend! It was the day before her wedding and another place had accidentally canceled her spa day. They made a massage available last minute (during Balloon Fiesta!), and I was able to pay over the phone so she wouldn't have to lift a finger when she arrived. The bride's first comment after returning from the Remedy Day Spa was "I was so relaxed I was drooling off the table." It was exactly was she needed and ensured she had a great wedding day. Thanks again for the excellent service!

Sydnee gave me the best massage I have ever had! It was the perfect amount of pressure without pain. She was kind and professional. The spa itself is clean and very relaxing.

Best place to go for some peace and relaxation . My friend and I booked the hot tub and sauna for a half an hour before are massages. I would recommend and hour before since time flies by. I had a massage today with Eugenie and it was amazing! I was so relaxed afterwords I could of slept in the massage room for hours. Every one here is so nice and friendly. The place is very tranquil and peaceful. It’s a wonderful little spot.

The Hemingway hot tub was cozy and quite with ample shade, while taking a break in the cozy space, comfortable chairs with head rests would go a long way in completing the experience, overall the facilities are well kept and the customer service is outstanding. A must try spa and massage when looking for a quick getaway in Albuquerque.

In reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant for my fiancee and I to try Remedy. There was one review that highlighted bugs were in the private soak area and others than complained about noise. Considering the owners addressed these reviews , we took a chance and I am so glad we did. We booked the Hemingway soak for 1 hour and then a one hour couples massage. If you haven’t soaked before a massage, you must! It is obvious there has been a lot of thought and energy put into the indoor & outdoor spaces of this spa. The robes were comfy & the waiting space was quiet with tasty hot tea options & relaxing furniture. The Hemingway soak tub was perfect! It is an outdoor area with privacy but don’t expect it to be 100% quiet and void of all things mother nature. The area has a privacy door with trees on the inside thar perfectly frame the space. We had a bee buzz around us for a bit and sarcastically joked about how that was most certainly grounds for an unfavorable review! The tub was the perfect temperature and we had two chairs to lounge in if we wanted to get out before the hour. We were offered massage add ons (for additional $) and items to buy after the massage. I did treat myself to a hand/foot add on that was nice. I can appreciate the upsale techniques but appreciate more that the items don’t feel aggressively pushed on you if you are not interested. Had they been super aggressive it would have been completely off putting and would not want to return. Shout out to our massage therapists, Rachel and Doozer. They were very attentive and skilled. Highly recommend and will be back.

So I loved the private jacuzzi. When it came to the cold plunge it was not covered and clean. Tons of floating leaves stuff at bottom of small bath. That feels dirty to me. I tried cleaning it but the thought why they don’t I care I dont!

Update: I have been contacted and they offered to “remedy” a few of my concerns. I appreciate the effort and will give them another shot.

I have been going to Remedy Day Spa for over five years, but this was my last time.

1. Back when I started going here, the amenities were available to everyone who had a massage booked (sauna, hot tub, cold plunge) but they have slowly been taking those away and making you pay extra. This time was the last straw when the sauna said it was no longer in order, but you could book a session in the IR sauna for an extra charge This was not mentioned on their website. I then tried using the hot tub which was lukewarm at best. The jets wouldn’t work and it wouldn’t heat up.
2. Disappointed, I rinse off and go wait for my massage therapist only to have her be five minutes late. That alone didn’t bother me, except she didn’t extend my massage time accordingly. If I am paying for a 60 minutes massage and you are late, I still expect a 60 minute massage.
3. The main reason I went was to have a specific part of my back worked on that had been bothering me. I asked the massage therapist to work on that area for most of the time. They spent maybe an additional 2-3 minutes on the area, but it hardly noticeable. When it was over, I felt about the same as I had before, as if it wasn’t worked on at all.

Overall, I walked away feeling very frustrated which is the last thing you want when you leave a spa. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I left a review through an email survey I was sent as well as a text survey I was sent first, but no one has contacted me about it so I felt I needed to post here to warn people of the lowering quality of this place.
